IPAC Wounded Warrior Cell

A key part of this Recovery Plan is identifying, applying for and receiving the right benefits and compensation. Your Recovery Care Coordinator will provide oversight and assistance, identifying gaps in your non-medical services to address anything from home adaptation, transportation and finances to child care and educational goals. Your Recovery Care Coordinator, working with your other care providers, will ensure you are connected with federal, state, local, non-profit, and private sector programs which offer you support and benefits to meet those goals.

The IPAC (Installation Personnel Administration Center) designated a satellite cell specifically in support of the Wounded Warrior Battalion called the IPAC Wounded Warrior Cell. Currently co-located with WWBn-E in HP14B, this cell consists of 10 personnel, (1) OIC, (1) SNCOIC, (6) Marines and (2) civilian clerks.

The mission of the cell is to provide total administrative support to the Battalion proper and all of its entities spread loaded through-out the United States and Germany. This includes but is not limited to: Pay & Allowances, Awards, Separations, Limited duty, Legal for the battalion and reporting all wounded in action and deceased Marines entitlements for the entire MEF.

The diversity of the administrative duties requires the Wounded Warrior Cell not only to track permanent personnel at WWBn-E proper, but also include the multitude of active duty personnel and reservist's stationed as Patient Administrative Teams, DET Commander's and their patients. These teams and patients are in locations such as Bethesda Naval National Medical Center, MD, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, WashDC, The Veteran's Affairs Poly Trauma Centers in Roanoke Virginia, Minneapolis, MN, and Tampa, FL, Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, VA, Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX, Marine Liaison, Naval Hospital, Camp Lejeune, NC and Landsthul Regional Medical Center in Germany.
